Guided by our Responsible AI Principles, Alteryx advocates safety and responsibility, in the development and use of AI, ensuring that this transformative technology benefits everyone equitably.  We support regulation of AI systems according to risk, with well-defined roles and responsibilities guiding obligations that empower contributors at each step of the AI value chain to make smart decisions.

Alteryx participates in the US Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI); the EU AI Pact; Singapore’s AI Verify Foundation and other national and international coalitions working to create a safe, responsible, and innovative AI ecosystem.  We are also founding members of the AI Integrators Council.

In the 21^st Century Workforce, data skills will be essential to unlocking the potential of AI and other transformative technologies.   Alteryx supports strong investments in providing education, training and upskilling to build foundational skills in data, artificial intelligence, and other critical disciplines.  Technology should benefit everyone, and workforce development initiatives that prioritize data literacy will help ensure opportunities in the future economy are available to all.

We proudly partner with governments and academia to provide upskilling opportunities to government workers and private citizens through our SparkED program, in partnerships like the US Defense Department’s SkillBridge program for transitioning military personnel and the EU’s Pact for Skills.

Alteryx believes confronting proliferating cyber threats requires a strong, collaborative global ecosystem built on public-private partnerships that leverage collective action. We support policies that enable such an ecosystem by harmonizing and streamlining regulatory requirements, building platforms for collaboration, and promoting innovation.  In addition to maintaining our own risk-based cybersecurity program in alignment with the US NIST Cyber Risk Management Framework, Alteryx serves as a member of the Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council (IT-SCC), working with government and industry partners to advance cybersecurity best practices and inform risk-based policies.

Alteryx is deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our customers , partners, employees, and others with whom we work.  We seeks strong, comprehensive privacy legislation to protect sensitive data in all of the regions in which we operate.  To prevent confusion and ensure the strongest protections, it is essential that legislation be comprehensive and interoperable, providing clear, consistent guidelines across jurisdictions.  Alteryx maintains a robust global privacy program that aligns with core government guidelines, such as the US NIST Privacy Framework and the EU’s Global Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR).

Alteryx knows that the true power of data can only be unlocked when data is accessible, trustworthy, and secure.  That requires data governance: frameworks for effective stewardship of data throughout its lifecycle, from collection and storage through use and disposal.

Alteryx supports government policies that establish clear roles and responsibilities for data governance within the government, ensure ethical standards for data governance, and promote effective stewardship of data throughout public and private sectors.

For the benefits of technology to be shared by all, it is vital that governments work to limit barriers to market access and the free flow of data, and enact protections laws that help companies compete on a level playing field.  Alteryx supports measures to protect intellectual property, enable cross-border data transfers,  empower skilled workers to access employment opportunities globally, as well as global trade policies that support a flourishing international digital economy.
