This webinar is part of Alteryx’s ‘Innovation Stories’ series, highlighting the journeys of analytics and business leaders who have used analytics to achieve business goals and transform their organizations.
Hapag-Lloyd, as one of the largest container shipping lines, has set its ambition to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by around one third by 2030 and to operate net-zero fleet operations by 2045.
Besides its own ambition, governance and regulations globally push companies toward a stronger focus on sustainability. For example, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) has just taken effect, altering the way companies must report their sustainability performance. Specifically for shipping, container shipping lines have been added to the existing EU emissions trading system, requiring them to purchase certificates for emissions in EU waters.
In this fast-changing environment, companies are facing new analytical challenges to support answering these new questions. Data, tooling and the analytical capabilities are key factors supporting the overall ambitions to become more sustainable.
In this webinar you will learn from our partner PwC about the implications of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Data Insights & AI team at our customer Hapag-Lloyd will share how they used Alteryx to approach the calculation of the container CO2 emissions, thus supporting the calculation of the EU ETS requirements.
